I snapped the photo for this piece on a lovely walk with two good friends at the National Arboretum and then printed, painted, sealed with glitter varnish and embroidered the message that spoke to me on top. ⁠⁠Feeling into connection, support, community and learning to set boundaries for myself too. Remembering that taking care of myself helps me be there and fully present for others.⁠

*update 3/2/22*In an effort to do some ongoing good in the face of war, natural disaster, and what sometimes feels like a never-ending, heart wrenching stream of news of human suffering, I am going to add these prints (and all of the pieces from this close-to-my-heart series) to my growing collection of art that gives back. I'll be donating 25% of the proceeds from these works to World Central Kitchen from here on out. Right now, World Central Kitchen chefs are serving fresh meals to Ukrainian families fleeing war, in Brazil recovering from floods, and in Madagascar following Cyclone Batsirai.
